Not a good thought to consider, but you don't want to wait until something happens and then search for a local veterinarian. Just in case, it's better to be prepared prior to leaving for vacation.

Don't forget in the US, there are corporate veterinary hospitals located

nationally, such as Banfield Our Locations | Banfield Pet Hospital®

and Blue Pearl Find a Hospital - BluePearl Pet Hospital (bluepearlvet.com). These and other corporate veterinary hospitals can provide emergency assistance to your pet when you both are away from home.

If you leave the US, it may be challenging to find a veterinarian.

I suggest that you research ahead of time to locate a veterinarian in the area you are visiting. You may or may not need their services, however if you do-you are prepared.
