If you're traveling internationally with a pet—or helping a patient prepare for travel—several important changes take effect this October.

🇪🇺 European Union: New health certificates for non-commercial dogs, cats, ferrets, and birds are required beginning October 1. New certificates for commercial dogs, cats, and ferrets become required October 17.

🇰🇾 Cayman Islands: Updated requirements for dogs and cats also take effect October 1, including changes involving rabies-risk classification and veterinary health certification. Timing and sequencing matter.

A travel plan that was compliant when the case started may not remain compliant on the day of travel.
